Pirate Caverns is a former walk-through attraction accessed during the second half of Night 3 in Abandoned: Discovery Island.

When the player enters Pirate Caverns, the game's style changes to a point-and-click type of adventure game where the player clicks to go to other areas in the attraction. The player can toggle their flashlight by holding the space bar. The player can also click the top of the screen in some rooms to get to overtopped areas. To get back to the previous room, the player must click bottom of the screen.

A mini-map of the current floor is accessible to the player by hovering the mouse over the bottom of the screen.

Floor 1 is the entrance floor of Pirate Caverns, and is where the player begins; starting in an empty room with one doorway leading to the room with stairs to the left and chest room to the right. Once the player goes down the stairs and through the hallway, they will reach the Aquarium room. From there, the player can go to the right towards the Technician Control room, or to the left to reach the Elevator. In the Technician Control room, the player can click the top of the screen and look into a drawer, which contains a tan key. This key opens the chest in the previously mentioned chest room, containing a yellow key. The player can also head to the Elevator, and go to Floor 2.

The Face will actively stalk the player in this section of Pirate Caverns. If the player does not move away from him in time or refuses to do so at all, they will be greeted with a jumpscare.

Floor 2 is accessed from the Elevator in Floor 1. Upon reaching this floor, the player will see a big room with a cage and a metal pirate sign. The player can head to the left to see a small room containing what appears to be an air conditioner against the wally. However; going to the right will lead to a long hallway containing many rooms. There are rooms with mannequins, lamps and there's even a room with what appears to be a small crib. In one of the rooms there's a safe with a VHS tape in it. Collecting the VHS tape alters the post-Good Ending dialogue.

Undying will actively stalk the player in this section of Pirate Caverns.

Floor 3 is only accessible after meeting certain requirements for the True Ending. In order to get there, the player must first befriend The Face, and head to the mannequin room in Floor 2. In there player must click left of the screen to go to hallway, leading to a hidden elevator. Once on Floor 3, the player will see a hallway full of mannequins and posters. The player must go down the small stairs. At this point, the player will reach signs with text reading Exit and Help Area. They must then go right and go forward to reach Henry.

The player can also head in the same hallway which leads to Henry, but go to the left instead, resulting in being confronted by Suicide Mouse, resulting in an unavoidable jumpscare.

Trivia[]

  • Suicide Mouse will automatically kill you if you enter his room in Floor 3.
